What is Äss bar all about?

Äss bar and its anti-food-waste concept prevent food waste from nearby partner bakeries by collecting leftover products and selling them at reduced prices. Their name plays on words in Swiss German; it means ‘edible’, and their motto is Frisch von Gestern. Annually prevents more than 700 tons of food waste.

Where can you find Äss bar?

Their shops can be found in many of Switzerland’s major cities: Basel, Bern, Biel, Lucerne, Lausanne, Winterthur,  Zurich, and with a Foodtruck at ETH Zurich (Zentrum and Hönggerberg). Here is the information on each location:
