I still remember the days where I had to spend hours trying to figure out the personalisation feature in Word and Excel, then transfer things to Outlook, and still had to cross check a thousand times if a Karen accidentally received the post-order recommendation mail meant for John. As time passed and softwares like MailChimp were released, I actually felt like the vision loss I had from my excessive computer work was healed, and I stopped wearing my glasses. Mehh, that didn’t last long though. BUT, AI powered marketing tools could probably, maybe, possibly, hopefully, mean us digital marketers will have our 20/20 vision back. Don’t hold me accountable for this prediction though because even though I am spending less time working now, I am definitely spending more time on TikTok trying to stay relevant.

2. Automated Email Campaigns: Gone are the days of manually crafting and sending emails to each subscriber. AI-powered automation tools streamline the email marketing process by automating tasks like list segmentation, scheduling, and triggered emails. With AI, businesses can set up sophisticated workflows and nurture campaigns that respond to user behavior in real-time. Automated email campaigns save time, improve efficiency, and ensure timely and personalized interactions with subscribers. OUUFF! Absolute life saver if you have ever experienced lawsuit threats! The greatest thing about the automated email campaigns is the accuracy of honoring opt-out requests. Opt-out request mistakes were the most stressful part of my job when I worked in a marketing agency. I used to thank God sometimes that an unsubscriber chose to call me and abuse my work instead of sueing my company over an email. Quick health tip: The stress this feature saved me worked better than any anti-hairfall shampoo I ever spent money on.

3. Spam Detection and Inbox Placement: AI plays a crucial role in combating spam and ensuring that emails reach the intended recipients’ inboxes. AI algorithms analyze various factors, including content, sender reputation, and engagement metrics, to assess the likelihood of emails being flagged as spam. By proactively identifying potential issues, marketers can optimize their email content and delivery practices to improve inbox placement rates and enhance overall deliverability. Its wild out there, and you DO NOT want your company’s dignified services, in the same folder, competing with the dying-soon prince of Namibia who is leaving all his wealth to a stranger. And if you’ve ever worked in SMEs like me, and no one in your company knew how to tackle the Inbox Placement problem and you (with your knowledge of only Microsoft Office) were the best one on the team, chances are you spent days to figure it out yourself.
