Today we are looking at what is spell speed and why this is important:

Spell speed tells us what we can and cant chain with well start off with spell speed 1

L_M_G_PP_SS1

Spell Speed 1 is seen as the slowest speed, these cant be chained to spell speed 2 or 3, they can start a chain but you CANT chain with them.

Spell speed 2:

Unlike Spell speed 1, you can chain SS 2 to SS 1s, SS2 is faster than SS1.

Spell Speed 3

SS3 have the highest priority over all the other Speeds so you can only counter a counter trap with a counter trap, kind of rhyme makes it easier to remember.

What to remember is 3 has the highest priority, 2 can chain to 1 and 1 can’t even chain to itself, 1 can start a chain.

Unsure what the different symbols mean:

Now that we know the difference between these let’s look at chaining.

When we chain we always want to make sure the most important card effect is chain 1 then chain 2 another effect to block your opponent from reacting to it. Watch 13:00 in the video for a clear understanding of this.

When multiple card effects resolve at the same time you as the controller choose which way the chain resolves. Always remember the chain resolves backwards so chain link 3 resolves then 2 and then 1.

Hope you guys learned a little something along the way thank you so much for your time and ill catch you on the duelling field!

Gasser

Hello and welcome to my blog about Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm 22 years old from Switzerland and my friends call me Bee. I'm in love with Yu-Gi-Oh I play it online and with my friends, although it's a fun game to play I've noticed it can get very complicated after a long series of chains, so I've dedicated this blog to explaining how to properly read and understand card effects, I'm currently doing my judge test and I wanted to pass on the knowledge I've obtained. Hopefully, by the end of my lessons, you have learned a little more about the card game. Anyways duelists thank you for checking out my vids and blogs ill be seeing you on the duelling field! ‹3
