Diversity and Inclusion in the Recruiting Process: An Interview with Claudia Scherrer

Earlier this month, I had a chat with Claudia Scherrer, HR expert and entrepreneur, with over 20 years of experience in the Swiss job market. During our conversation, Claudia shared insights into how companies are revolutionising their hiring practices to be more inclusive.

As an HR expert, Claudia assists English-speaking candidates in navigating the Swiss job market. Throughout our discussion, she shared valuable tips on how candidates can showcase their diverse experiences to strengthen their profiles, stand out, and secure their dream job in Switzerland. Claudia also provides guidance to companies and shared strategies she employs to overcome resistance from line managers when considering diverse candidates.

Additionally, Claudia shared a personal story about an uncomfortable situation where she was the only woman in a boardroom. She ultimately decided to leave due to the discomfort, shedding light on the challenges women face in the tech sector and many other industries where they are underrepresented in top management roles.
