Hi everyone! Lum and Michele here from evulpo. I’m a webmaster and developer, while Michele is a software engineer focusing on innovation at our company. Today, we’re excited to share with you some of the ways we’re implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our mission to build the next biggest learning platform.

AI in Education

Currently, evulpo is operational in seven countries and we’re leveraging AI to enhance the learning experience of our users. We firmly believe in the potential of AI to revolutionize education and empower students. AI can summarize information quickly, providing clear explanations and answers to complex questions. It allows learners to customize their educational journey according to their own understanding and curiosity, which we believe is crucial for effective learning.

AI is gaining popularity and we see it as a tool that can enhance traditional learning experiences and help students grasp difficult concepts. We’re developing ways to utilize AI to address specific learning difficulties, thus providing a more personalized learning experience. AI can be harnessed to help learners grasp difficult concepts and overcome personal academic challenges. By integrating AI into the traditional school curriculum, we can provide a better overall learning experience.

AI-Generated Content at evulpo (CCT)

One of our current projects is developing AI-generated content, drawing from our extensive database. We use AI not just to generate content but to curate it according to the needs of our students. The text is generated from content written by actual humans, ensuring that the information provided is useful and reliable.

Our Content Creation Tool (CCT) utilizes ChatGPT on the backend to generate a variety of exercises such as multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank exercises. All exercises created by our CCT are validated by a human content creator before they are made available to students. This ensures that the AI-generated content is accurate and maintains a human touch.

The aim is to use the CCT as a tool to assist content creators and increase the amount of material available to students. However, we do not plan to make the process entirely automated. A human review of all generated content will always be in place to ensure the quality and relevance of the content. In our discussion video, you can find a snippet of the CCT and how it works.

The Smart Fox: A Virtual Tutor

Another key development at evulpo is the integration of a virtual private tutor for each student, which we like to call the “Smart Fox”. The Smart Fox can answer questions and clear any doubts the students may have about their lessons. It is designed to provide a quick explanation and then guide the student to a specific lesson or exercise where they can learn more about the topic.

When the Smart Fox is asked a math problem, for example, it evaluates the question using a specific program and returns the exact answer. It’s not just a probabilistic model, it’s designed to deliver the best result to the student. Looking ahead, we are even exploring the possibility of building our own model to tailor our tools better.

Data Protection and Ethical Implications

One of the critical aspects of using AI in education is ensuring the protection of user data, particularly because it involves young students. All the data passed through our algorithms is thoroughly protected, maintaining the privacy of our users. Moreover, we have strict validation processes in place to ensure the ethical use of AI and content generation, and as mentioned before we will try to have the human touch as much as possible when we generate content with AI.

The Impact of AI on Learning

While the integration of AI can vastly improve the learning experience, we firmly believe that the human element in education is irreplaceable. AI is a tool that can aid the learning process, but the wisdom and experience imparted by human teachers remain paramount. We envision AI as a supplement to traditional teaching methods, not a replacement.

Our goal at evulpo is to leverage AI to make education more accessible and efficient. However, we caution against overdependence on these tools, as it’s essential for students to develop their own understanding and not rely solely on AI to do their work.

Conclusion

Our vision at evulpo is to make the world a smarter place by leveraging the power of AI in education. We strive to create an engaging, personalized learning experience that aids in a student’s intellectual growth while respecting their individual learning pace and style. However, we maintain the principle that AI should serve as an enhancement to the existing educational structure rather than a complete replacement.

We’re excited about the future and the potential AI holds for reshaping the way we learn. Our mission is to continue innovating and refining our tools, while always keeping in mind the best interests of our students and the essential role of human teachers. By combining the strengths of AI with the insights and wisdom of human educators, we believe we can create an enriching, effective, and enjoyable learning environment.

Thank you for joining us today. We’re eager to continue this journey of innovation and learning, and we look forward to sharing our progress with you in the future. Together, we can make the world a smarter place.
