  1. Influencer marketing is all about “relationships with influencers” in a nutshell

  2. The more you do it, the more you get exposure to the other influencers

  3. Work on Instagram

  4. Steps:

    1. Set up your business account (or create a blank account only for the influencer research)
    2. Find one influencer that you find good & Follow herGo to her account and click the arrow (dropdown) next to “Email” button (people who have similar audience or interest with her will be shown here)
    3. Check other influencers’ accounts from there and follow them

  5. Create a blank Instagram account

    Merits:
    – You can build a ideal influencer reach-out list at scale
    – You can use it as a database of influencers
    – You can send the same message to a huge number of influencers at once

  6. Create a list of influencer profiles

    – Their handles
    – Follower number
    – Contact details
    – Foam of outreach
    – Etc

  7. Reach out to a lot more than you actually need

Not all of them can be your influencers, especially when your business is small and doesn’t have a huge reputation.

    Reasons can be…
    – They are not interested in your products
    – They are not fully trusting your brand
    – They are not selling products well
    – Their engagement rate is low
    – Their audience are from everywhere and not from your specific target group
    – Etc

  1. Hey Hikaru, very interesting article. I have always been interested in the business perspective of influencer marketing. Thanks for sharing this.

    1. Thanks for reading Anja! As you also are involved in marketing activities I would also love to hear what is trendy in the marketing industry more from you! 🙂

  2. The idea about the blank profile to find same-type influencers is very nice and handy, would have never thought of this. We’ll definitely try it out. Thanks for the cool tips and keep it up, Hikaru 🙂
