I find the web personalisation very interesting. The magic of cookies and practical usage is probably one of the most powerful tools in online marketing. Also makes some people think there is some actual magic around that they suddenly get shown the product they’ve talked / dreamed about in the past few days.
I also liked your last point very much about the wishlist and preventing possible mistakes of the customers with an easy “cancel / redo” button.
