Preserve Wild Plants

7 Methods on how to preserve wild plants

You want to enjoy the numerous good nutrients of wild plants the whole year long? Here are seven methods on how to preserve wild plants.

I recently was asked how to preserve wild herbs and this made me think…I’m not really preserving wild plants during winter, since I believe that I should take from nature only what I need at the moment. Nevertheless this is part of a sustainable lifestyle, as long as you harvest plants with respect to our nature. In my podcast I don’t just talk about how to dry wild plants but other six methods that you might didn’t think about.

So have you already tried one of the listed methods or do you have another method? Which method do you prefer? Looking forward to hear about your stories and feedbacks!

If you wonder from where I have all this information, I simply asked my mother. She actually produces her own syrup, creates marmalades and pestos, tinctures and dries herbs for teas. Often the generations before us have a wide knowledge of edible plants. Maybe it can be a future passion that you can share with someone else?
