• Action steps for you: next steps

My Testimony – How God Changed My Life
What a precious gift to share my testimony with you, friend! I was raised in a Christian family and, from a very young age, my mom read me stories about Jesus from the children’s Bible. Jesus was a superhero in my eyes. I went to church with my parents until I was 14, when I started to ask myself: Why am I actually going to church?
When I was at a Christian youth camp during worship, I felt God’s love so strongly and had an encounter with the Holy Spirit. I decided to take my faith seriously and live in a relationship with Jesus. And, friend, that was the best decision I ever made. Nothing compares to the love of God and His grace.

When I was 18, I still hadn’t been baptized in water – I thought my life had to be more perfect, more in order, just better. But, friend, let me encourage you: you will never be “good enough” or have your life perfectly together to accept the great gift of Jesus Christ. To accept the gift of eternal life by believing in Jesus and going to Heaven is just that – a gift.

Saved by the Grace of God

We will never be good enough or have our lives perfect enough to earn the gift of grace God gives us, friend. Just accept His love and gift for your life.
One day, I was swimming in the ocean in Valencia, Spain, with a friend. We talked a lot, swam further and further into the deep water, and jumped over the waves. Suddenly, we couldn’t touch the ground anymore. In that moment, I thought I would die. I was 18 years old and felt not ready to leave this earth. Even though I had been going through a difficult season and was complaining to God about many things, I was so scared in that moment. I screamed inside that I didn’t want to die. Even the things I had been complaining about, I now wanted to be grateful for.

To continue the story: I was still next to my friend Anna and felt so tired from all the waves crashing over me. It was no longer me jumping over the waves, but the waves crashing over me. I had no strength left to call for help. We were so far from the beach because the waves had dragged us away. I wasn’t sure if anyone would hear me, and I didn’t have the strength to shout. When I looked into Anna’s eyes, I couldn’t tell her, “We’re going to die.” I just had very wide open eyes and told her, “I can’t go back to the beach, I’m stuck, and the waves are pushing me out to sea.” But Anna carried me on her back and brought me back to the beach.
I felt such relief, and I am forever thankful for Anna saving my life at 18. It was such a blessing from God that He sent Anna to save me in the ocean. When I got back from vacation, I realized there is no perfect time to wait for baptism. There is no perfect time. We will never have our lives together enough to be worthy of God’s grace. God is worthy, and His grace is amazing. We don’t deserve His grace. So I got baptized at 18, even though my life was not perfectly in order.

The Testimony of My Friend Adam
This video is so special to me! It gives me so much joy every time I see it. Don’t miss out on watching my friend Adam’s video, where he shares his testimony of how Jesus saved his life.

Action Step for You: Next Steps
Friend, I am beyond grateful for having you on my blog. It’s sad this journey is over, but who knows what the future holds, right? I truly loved writing these blog posts and sharing what’s close to my heart.

If you want to get to know Jesus, here is a prayer that’s close to my heart:
Dear Jesus, I want to get to know you better. Please show yourself to me. Please overflow me with your love. I thank you for your holy blood that was shed on the Cross for my sins. Thank you that you love me so much that you died for me, even though I don’t deserve your grace and you are perfectly pure. I want to thank you that you died on the Cross for my sins and for the gift of Heaven. I want to give you my life and follow you.
Amen.

As the Word of God says in Romans 10:9:
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

As the Bible says in John 3:36:
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.”

Will you follow Him?
