The answer is yes, an air purifier can help with allergies as long as it uses a True HEPA filter. The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) dictates that a HEPA filter must trap 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns or larger which includes pollen, mold spores, pet dander, dust, and other microscopic allergens.
During the coronavirus crisis, many of us have taken shelter at home, appreciating more than ever the daily walks, the outdoor work-out and (especially in Switzerland) a small hike.
All those activities in a safe social distancing and respectful attitude have given us a small break from the home office where there is a blurry line between work and private sphere and the incapability to meet with friends and family.
Unfortunately for many of us, spring is coming along side with pollen and allergies that doesn’t make life easy. Luckily there are some air purifiers and even better SMART air purifiers which you could buy online, totally worth to try in your search of making your home an allergy-free home.

Isabela! Great article! I know so many people with Spring allergies and this would defiantly help them sleep better at night! It’s nice to have a cooling fan in the house that also cleans and purifies the air. Super cool how you can connect it with Alexa, making it that much easier.
Thank you Victoria for reading this article! Air purifiers are great help with spring allergies and I love the idea to be able to integrate them with the rest of out IoT Devices! It is great when technology is used to improve people lives!
Muy interesante!
I actually own the Dyson Pure Cool Me (don’t know how smart it actually is), but it’s been saving my life in a hot office full of pollen from having the windows open.
Hi Olivier! I am glad they have been helping you with your allergies! The Dyson Pure Cool intelligently control and monitor your air quality with the Dyson Link App and you should be able to monitor air quality indoors and out from your device. I believe it also allows you to schedule, remotely control and personalize your machine. If you test the App let me know how well it goes!
