Hello everybody!
I am happy to meet you again for one of the most important part of the creation of your show: the choice of platform to host your podcast! I have listed the 6 platform I would suggest for a B2B podcast below:
Let’s go onto more details, shall we? Buzzsprout is a very interesting tool for beginners. It is very easy to use with a very nice user friendly look and feel. Podbean exists since 2006 and is pretty thorough. These two can be completely free even if they have plans which offer better analytics or features. Blubrry is a very famous podcast tool, also because it is linked to WordPress which is a website platform many companies use. SoundCloud is very popular as well, it is the leader in the music industry for amateurs and professionals since 2007 and is also very easy to use. Transistor has been named best podcast platform in 2020, most probably because many famous podcast are made on the app but also because its features allow show hosting through each paid plan, powerful data analytics, podcast distribution and very good looking landing page.
You realized I have left one appart, right? The reason for that is that I personally use it: Spreaker! Siemens Buildings of Tomorrow podcast show started on Spreaker and the results we got are pretty spectacular when noticing we haven’t paid a penny for this. The main reason for this is because the platform is created to drive engagement. Not only you are able to share your episodes on every social media but you can also share it directly on the biggest Podcast app around the world (SoundCould, Apple Podcast, Spotify and so on). With the “Broadcaster” version that we have now (18$/months) we are able to see great analytics such as demographics, geolocation… Another great feature is the live chat that is available during live shows. YES, they even have their own studio to broadcast live and interact with your audience.
It is hard for me to tell you exactly which platform you should use but I would definitely go for the free ones if your idea of a show is a marketing tool you would use on the side and would not be your main activity and I would definitely use Transistor or Spreaker if you would like to start podcasting regularly and make it one of your main activities.
Thank you so much for reading my blog again. I will see you next week and, in the meantime, stay safe and tune in!
