There is no doubt that a piece of furniture can look like a masterpiece of art. Every year luxury furniture manufacturers surprise us with new amazing designs and Italian manufacturers have one of the best designs. For example, at the Milan Design Week – “Salone del Mobile”, most of the producers are from Italy. In this post I want to show you my favorite Italian furniture manufacturers to dive deep into aesthetic design world.
B&B Italia
B&B Italia is a renowned Italian furniture manufacturer established in 1966 by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli in Novedrate, Italy. The company has played an important role in shaping modern Italian design, implementing innovation, craftsmanship, and industrial expertise. B&B Italia produces not only high quality furniture, but also unique designs: unexpected geometric decisions, as bulbous forms or sculptural silhouettes. Their furniture often feels like mini pieces of architecture — designed with structure, volume, and a strong sense of balance and proportion.
Meridiani
Another breathtaking Italian furniture brand – Meridiani. Founded in 1996 by Renato Crosti, it is famous for its timeless designs that combine contemporary aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Personally, I find their philosophy concept very close to mine – home as a dress to wear, focusing on style as well as comfort. By customizing materials, finishes and sizes, the brand adapts its products to different interior designs, allowing each customer to find something unique for themselves. Its designs are characterized by geometry and functionality: Max modular sofas, which allow different configurations to satisfy different needs.
And this Oscar chair just stole my heart.
Poltrona Frau
Founded in 1912, Poltrona Frau combines traditional Italian artisan techniques with modern innovation. Interesting fact: Poltrona Frau interiors appear in luxury cars (Ferrari, Maserati), five-star hotels, and even in the European Parliament. And the reason why I chose this brand it’s their leather color pallet: buttery-soft, durable and elegant. Furthermore, it’s clean lines, soft curves, and a restrained elegance in designі are not left unattended. Especially my favorite is the way they have made a Squash chair: retro 70s in light blue color through modern prism. By the way, much of their furniture is handmade by craftsmen, with great attention to details. All these factors make this brand unique in a world of Italian interior designs.
nice decorum and very useful insides.
Thanks a lot
It’s interesting how Italian brands combine such rich history with cutting-edge design. The idea of home as a ‘dress to wear’ really resonates with me—it’s not just about furniture, it’s about creating a space that reflects your personal style.

Italian furniture really proves that design can be both functional and artistic…
That is why it is the best!
The idea of ‘home as a dress to wear’ really resonated with me—it’s such a poetic way to approach interior design. Meridiani’s philosophy beautifully blends comfort with identity, which feels especially relevant in today’s more personalized living spaces.
I am happy, that you liked it
I really enjoyed how you connected the aesthetic of Italian furniture to personal expression—’home as a dress to wear’ is such a powerful metaphor. It’s fascinating to see how brands like B&B Italia and Meridiani bridge artistic design with everyday functionality. I’d love to hear your thoughts on how these design philosophies influence broader interior trends beyond Italy.

I love how Italian manufacturers, especially brands like B&B Italia, manage to merge artistry with functionality. Their designs really challenge traditional furniture concepts, making each piece feel like both a work of art and a usable, comfortable part of the home.
