Celebrating International Mother’s Day with the story of a day in our life

Happy International Mother’s Day to all you fabulous moms out there!

Today, as I sit with my mini-me, chowing down on breakfast, I thought preparing for you the perfect gift. It’s a simple yet potent start, setting the stage for a day full of our trademark chaos and giggles. As you have it too, right?

Then it’s game on—literally. Board games and role-plays, each round more hilariously competitive than the last. Whether it’s the first game or the hundredth.

Cooking with my daughter isn’t just about mastering the mystery that is seasoning, but about the dance-offs and the occasional delicious cupcakes. It’s our mess-making, taste-testing lab of love.

We also shake our booties in a living-room dance party or twist into pretzels during mini yoga sessions. It’s about keeping our spirits high and our bond tight—even if our dance moves are more ’90s than TikTok cool.

No day is complete without a dash of outdoor adventure. Be it a backyard expedition or a playground escapade, we’re out and about, soaking up nature and probably collecting too many sticks or leaves.

As the day winds down, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for these priceless, laughter-filled moments with my daughter. In her giggles and bear hugs, I find the wild, wonderful heart of motherhood—a journey paved with laughter, boundless energy, and heartwarming chaos.

Here you can see the one day journey with my 4 years old daughter:

To all the amazing moms, may your Mother’s Day be as joy-filled and fun-packed as mine. And to my wonderful whirlwind of a daughter, thank you for turning every day into Mother’s Day. You are my greatest adventure, and I treasure our every crazy, lovely moment together. Here’s to more laughter and love—Happy Mother’s Day!

  1. Happy mother’s day!!! I would like to learn more about a cooking lesson with your daughter 🙂 maybe a simple recipe i can also try with mine ?

  2. Mother’s Day is a thing in the Hungarian culture, too. But Hungarians are celebrating it on the first Sunday of May. My mother doesn’t live anymore, and I am not yet a mother, but I am happy this day exists, and that some countries have a Father’s Day, too – these are good ocassions to recognize once more the effort of parents. ❤️

  3. I also have a daughter and I must say I second what you wrote in this article! Happy Mother’s day! ❤️
