Exploring the Heart of Swiss Ice Hockey: The Swiss League and National League

The SL, or Swiss League:

Method of Play: The Swiss competition (SL) is a developmental competition that helps Swiss hockey players improve and advance. Teams fight tooth and nail for the chance to win and improve their position in the league.

  • EHC Olten: Olten, a picturesque Swiss League town, is home to EHC Olten, a hockey institution steeped in tradition.   • HC Thurgau: exemplifies the perseverance of Swiss hockey with its storied past and dedicated fan base.
  • HC La Chaux-de-fonds: A emblem of Swiss League hockey tradition and excellence, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds is nestled in the midst of the Jura Mountains. Not only are they the current and only champions of this season, but their history spans more than a century.
  • EHC Visp: Situated in the Swiss Alps, EHC Visp personifies the unyielding will to conquer the mountains.
  • GCK Lions: The Zurich-based GCK Lions roar with determination and desire, aiming for greatness in every match.

First Division (NL) National League:

Skill, passion, and competitive intensity are exemplified by the National League, the highest level of Swiss ice hockey. Fans from all throughout Switzerland and the world are enthralled by the NL’s illustrious past and relentless pursuit of greatness.

Playing Style: The NL is a high-stakes tournament that features the best Swiss hockey players. Every game showcases the incredible speed and precision of the skaters, who are unstoppable in their pursuit of victory.

  • The ZSC Lions: are a Zurich-based Hockey team that captivates audiences with their mesmerizing performances.
  • HC Lugano: HC Lugano embodies the spirit of Swiss hockey with its poise and accuracy, and it is nestled on the shore of Lake Lugano.
  • EV Zug: With a long history of success, this team never fails to impress with its exciting play and dogged determination to win.
  • On the ice, HC Davos captivates fans with its rich history and steadfast attitude, serving as a symbol of hockey tradition.
