MantaCruz Dive Center: Building A Career in Freediving

Many people have different hobbies, and only a few were able to make the decision to let go of their jobs and start a career they are passionate about.

In freediving, you get a big opportunity to not only shift into a healthier lifestyle but also work and earn money by transforming your own hobby into a real profitable entrepreneur project, where you can work for yourself as a freelancer, work in a diving centre, or even open your own freediving school.

I have seen people aged between 30 and 60 get carried on with this sport and even started to shift their prestigous career into fully becoming freediving instructors and opening their own business while enjoying their hobby.

The life of a freediver is extremely exciting, especially if you are into travelling, exploring, and taking adventure turns in your life.

As most people dream of freedom without being attached to a desk and being able to work from anywhere, freediving allows you to experience this to the fullest, where you get to travel around the world exploring oceans and meeting new people all the time.

The freediving community is real, and through it, you develop friendships, explore new areas, and enjoy marine life. Now to the important facts of starting a career as a freedive instructor. You get to travel whenever you want, and you get to do your favourite hobby and also get a decent pay for it.

Some of the most experienced freedivers’ yearly earnings can reach up to $90,000 so that’s over the average of even the European standards of wages. And it’s very easy to kick off. While some people do one of those things, either by joining a freedive centre as a freediving instructor or by starting a freelancing business, you won’t need to use professional marketing; all you need to do is use your connections, write a compelling post about yourself and what you can offer to your students, and start building a name and brand for yourself, or by joining a diving centre, where you can easily also build your own name and get free marketing from there.

Afterwards, you can start thinking about building your own school, and guess what? Your school can have a permanent location, or you can also use your school name to teach from time to time in a different country.

The opportunities that this sport holds have no limits, just as freediving is all about.
