First Space Hotel to open in 2027 – Voyager Station

Let the last post in the sequence be about something truly “mindblowing” – such as space travel. Most of us find the topic of space exploration and space travel incredibly fascinating. In this post featuring the video, we will talk about the possibility of hospitality going beyond the planet Earth. It is believed, that leisure space travel is coming, and it is coming fast. It represents a development of the industry that hoteliers can bet on.

For many people, getting away from it all means staying in a house in the woods or by the beach. Soon there may be another option: lifting off to a hotel serenely orbiting high above the planet…

“Going to space will just be another option people will pick for their vacation” 

While NASA works on making long-term and long-distance space travel more convenient, The Gateway Foundation has announced that it intends to open the first hotel in space, named Voyager Station, in 2027.

The facility will have artificial gravity and plenty of restaurants, gyms, sports arenas and concert venues as well as spaceplanes to bring guests back to Earth in case of an emergency.

Voyager Station was originally planned to open in 2025, but coronavirus-related delays have pushed this back to 2027 said the company.
