There are so many productivity systems out there, and honestly? Most of them are either too intense or too vague. But one method stood out to me — created by Grace Beverley, founder of TALA and Shreddy, who somehow juggles everything and talks honestly about burnout.
Her method is all about realistic productivity — not perfection.
In this post, I’ll show you how it works and how I’ve started using it to plan my week more intentionally.
→ Plus, I made a short TikTok video using the method — scroll down to watch!
What Is Grace Beverley’s Productivity Method?
Grace’s method comes from her book Working Hard, Hardly Working and is built around prioritising tasks, batching deep work, and being brutally honest with your time.
Her productivity planner and digital templates use a system with:
- Projects (30 minutes and more)
- Tasks (5 to 30 minutes)
- Quick ticks (less than 5 minutes)
- Non-negotiable things you’ll get done that day
- Habittracking
It’s designed to help you feel accomplished without overloading yourself. It helps you to write down your big projects and then to break them down in smaller and more doable tasks. This methods helps you to keep the big picture in mind, but without overwhelming yourself and getting lost in little things.
Why It Works
What I love about this method is how it combines:
- Keeping the overview of your projects
- writing out all the small tasks
- Prioritising three important tasks
- Flexible structure for real life
- A realistic view of what you can actually get done
- Encouragement to track your time honestly — not just the “productive” bits
It’s great for students, creatives, and anyone who has trouble choosing what to work on first.
How I Use the Method
When I first heard about her method, I wanted to try it and bought her physical planner. I really loved working with the method and used it mostly to study and to organize other tasks in my life. When I started working in the office, I made the switch to the digital Notion planner. I did it, because it helped me to access my planner everywhere on every device and I didn’t need to carry the heavy book with me all the time. I still use my physical copy at home, but I really like the digital option.

Final Thoughts
If you’re someone who writes endless to-do lists but never knows where to start, this method might really help to stay organised and not overworked.
It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters — with intention.
