Pizza ?
You’re in for a treat! This keto pizza recipe features a low-carb crust that’s both delicious and easy to make. Let’s get started and satisfy those pizza cravings without breaking your diet. The combination of a crispy crust, savoury toppings, and melted cheese is sure to hit the spot.
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 200°C
-
Heat the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese in a non-stick pan over medium heat or in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave. Stir until the cheeses are completely melted and combined
- Add the almond flour, baking powder, and egg to the melted cheese mixture. Mix well until a dough forms. Using a hand mixer with dough hooks can make this step easier
- Moisten your hands with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper. Flatten it into a circle about 20 cm in diameter. You can also use a rolling pin to roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper
- If you used a top parchment sheet, remove it. Prick the crust all over with a fork to prevent bubbling
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until it turns golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.
While the crust is baking, gather and prepare your favourite keto-friendly toppings, such as pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, or fresh basil. Once the crust is ready, spread a thin layer of sugar-free tomato sauce over it. Top with your favourite toppings and generously sprinkle with shredded cheese. Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
