The Bernese alps is a wonderful hiking destination with a great panorama of the surrounding glacier landscape.
Living in or having visited Switzerland might have given you the opportunity to listen to our swiss-german music. A very famous song that was released in 1985 titled “Alperose” by Polo Hofer still a classic today. The song is about a night of love after a mountain tour on the Blüemlisalp hut. And that is exactly where our journey will take us today – the well-known: Blüemlisalphütte
Gondelbahn Kandersteg – Oeschinensee – Blüemlisalphütte
Your journey begins at the mountain station of the Kandersteg-Oeschinen gondola lift. Once you have reached the Oeschinen station with the gondola, you follow the signed path towards the Oeschinensee. The Oeschinensee is a Unesco World Heritage site and considered to be one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Alps
From this point onwards you take the path towards the Sennhütte restaurant. A mountain path will lead you over a distinctive strip north of the Oeschinensee up to the Alp Underbärgli. Here it is worth it to turn around and have a look at the magnificent view.
Now comes a trickier part. Your path will lead you to a rocky ledge east of the Oberbärgli, towards the Schafläger and under a southern slope. You will first come across a ledge and later over a large scree slope (a slope of loose rock debris). From this point on you should be able to see the Blüemlisalphütte.
IN SHORT:
- Location: Adelboden, Switzerland
- Position: 2840 m above sea-level
