8 Incredible Things to Do in Pilatus | Exploring Switzerland

Mountain Pilatus is located in central Switzerland. It is 2,132 meters at its highest point and offers a stunning view of Lucerne city, the Lake of Lucerne, and the Alps.

Pilatus is a wonderful tourist destination because there are so many different activities you might spend there several days to get to do all of them! 1. HIKING TRACKS
   Of course, Mountain Pilatus is a beautiful place, and if you are up to some physical exercise, you could choose to hike from Lucerne city to the top of the mountain. Just remember, this is a pretty demanding physical activity that includes hiking, climbing, etc.
2. CABLE CAR
   If you don’t feel like hiking all the way to the top of the mountain, you could choose to travel up there by cable car. The cable car offers you a beautiful view and makes two stops on the way to the top. At the stop stations, you will find different activities including ropes courses. The first station course at Krienseregg is smaller and fits more younger children, and the second station at Fräkmüntegg has a bigger course that would fit older children and adults.
3. PARAGLIDING
   Exciting, breath-taking… what else can I say? not much really. This is the experience that you have to feel, not hear or talk about.
4. DRAGON GLIDER
   Feel a little too scared of the paragliding? That’s ok, me too… you still can feel like flying, while being completely safe. Here is a great opportunity for you. Dragon Glider is a super-fun activity for adults and children.
5. SUMMER TOBOGGAN RUN
   This is the longest summer toboggan run in Switzerland. Suitable for adults and children. Great idea for a good family day out.
6. PILU LAND
   Pilu Land is a beautiful playground for children. Lots of different things to do with kids, beautiful location for nice family pictures. I would definitely recommend it for a nice family trip.
7. DRAGON WORLD
   Do you love dragons and legends? Do you know Pilatus was believed to be a home place of dragons? Following local myths and legends, you can visit Dragon World and learn more about swiss dragon legends, experience a virtual adventure into the dragon’s cave, and more.
8. ASTRONOMY EXCURSION
   If you decide to stay in the Pilatus hotel I would recommend you to take the astronomy excursion.
