I hope all of you have enjoyed my lasts posts. Today , we will be able to know what are key benefits for investing in Kosovo as one of the youngest country.
Actually, its own challenges for attracting foreign investors but this has its own good sides as well as there are some benefits . If someone from international want to invest or to start a new business, it is not a bad idea to consider it!
Location of Kosovo
As one of the strategic goal for the factories to even serve the neighbor countries as Kosovo is located among Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro, which is a good start for the investments and serve the rest of European countries ( just like the Romanian experience back at the early 2000’s ) which is better to avoid locating in the big euro countries where the taxes are noticeably high.
As one of the smallest country
When it comes in this point, Kosovo is only 10,887 km2 which makes it so small, the capital city Prishtina is actually one hour to three driving away from any neighbor city, which is a good advantage for the industries that needs delivering system/ exchanging merchandises in between different locations around the country.
High rate of unemployment
As there is a percentage of the young people (18/28) who are not able to find job due to the lack of chances of work in the country which is a good sign for the investors as they will actually have more than enough applications to employees youngest people and it also provides variety of choices for investors.
Lack of multinational companies
Although, there are foreign investments in Kosovo, the current amounts are not sufficient to fully meet the region’s economic needs as it seems like the country has a lot to provide but no one is taking the chances yet to meet up with the requirements for the new projects that both of the country and people need as it is a win win situation for all the sides.
The currency: EURO
Like Germany, Kosovo switched to the euro currency in 2002. The change to the euro was achieved in cooperation with the European Central Bank, and several national banks in the Eurozone.
Basically, it can be consider as an advantage for the investors who wants to expand their companies and their products over the Eurozone as they will not have to deal with the currency exchange.
