Today, I will continue to talk about the international trade of masks but will explore how to do mask international trade with high success ration by 4 Tips during the coronavirus period.
1) Verify the authenticity of purchaser and order
There are three types of organizations that can purchase masks in the overseas market.
– Government agencies

Government agencies make purchases through official channels. The local Chinese embassy will recommend qualified Chinese manufacturers to government agencies that will be purchasing masks from China.

Most of the masks purchased by government departments are supplied to epidemic prevention departments such as hospitals and police stations and so on.
– State-owned enterprises
– A large authorized medical device company

State-owned enterprises and large medical device will prefer to cooperate with the big Chinese mask manufacturers based on the principle of matching their company standards.

Some of the masks purchased by state-owned enterprises were donated to hospitals, while others were sold to large local pharmacy chains and some domestic companies that were qualified to sell masks.
Most of the masks purchased by large pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies are sold to qualified local wholesalers and pharmacies.

As a foreign trade practitioner, you need to understand all the different standards of all the above masks in the Chinese market, the European market and the United States market.
You should clearly clarify the specifications and testing standards of masks before purchasers placing an order.
3) Confirm the manufacturer’s qualification
– Verify the authenticity of relevant certificates of the factory.
– Go to the factory by yourself to check the production environment and the production capacity (Production qualification, product qualification, product quotation) of the factory.
4) Understand China’s policies and the policies of the countries where the clients are located
– Frequently changing policies in China
China implemented a new policy (starting from 1 of April) on the export of epidemic prevention materials. For example, the following eight documents must be provided for the export of masks marked “medical”.
Factory business license
Enterprise production license
Medical device registration
Product test report
Product specification and label

Some countries in the EU have been producing supplies such as masks and medical gloves at home since 6th April, which means the demand for medical supplies that China exports will drop dramatically.
The frequent policy changes in the US market, which increases the risk of medial supplies international trade.
