Hey again to all of you
If #EasyMobiliser does not mention the Geneva International Motor Show, which is one of the most significant events in the automotive world, of course, would not.
Let’s see between March 7, 2019 – March 17, 2019, this year held for the 89th time what the general trends of this enjoyable and exciting event were. What’s going on in the Mobility world?
What are the fears of giant brands and, of course, how do IoT and Autonomous cars affect the trends in the industry?
Let’s get started!
Big Fear
The giant brands will invest at least $ 300 billion in electric and autonomous vehicles within 10 years to continue selling cars in Europe. The reason is very simple! From 2021, all companies have to reduce the level of CO2 to km / 95 gr! If they can not do that, it seems like we’ll see a lot of bikes and public transportation vehicles instead of cars on the roads (In fact, what would be good? ?) Of course, the only way to achieve this is to focus on electric and hybrid engine technologies.
The Industry Status
In the old continental Europe, sales in the automobile sector are not going very well. In the second half of 2018, there were shrinkage in many markets and no major developments are expected in the coming days when the results of the first quarter of 2019 are expected to come. On the other hand, while the major trade wars between China and Trump (perhaps, a third world war without gunpowder) are continuing, the $ 300 billion investment has to be made to China, of course, with a great deal of money.
Also, #Brexit has taken a complicated state and huge uncertainties await the world of commerce. On top of that, the new environmental standards continue to increase (fortunately) the pressure on automotive manufacturers. Producers who fail to comply with the EU Commission’s decision to deploy by 2021 may have to pay a fine of 500 million or 1 billion dollars per year and may not even sell new cars! Therefore, the solution is in electricity! Long live Tesla!⚡
Electricity! ?
So far, there are more than 100 electric car models in the industry. This number is expected to exceed 500 in 30 years without any effort.
What’s Interesting?
Citroën Ami One Concept
The maximum speed of the concept is limited to 45 km / h and the cheap and light batteries are charged in 2 hours and offer a range of 100 km. Moreover, if there will be no major setback, 16-year-olds will be able to use this car even without a license.

For the first time, an electric car was chosen as the car of the year
The fully electric Jaguar I-PACE was the winner of the car of the year 2019 (COTY) in Europe, which is one of the most prestigious automobile awards in the world. Jaguar I-PACE, who defeated its very ambitious 6 rivals, won the first COTY award in its history. Jaguar I-PACE, COTY 2019 was the last of the 57 awards won in the last 1 year.

Electric and Luxury – Aston Martin Lagonda
It will be fuel-saving, but not quality and luxury, of course! Here’s an example.
Aston Martin introduced the All-Terrain Concept, the new electrical SUV concept. Lagonda introduced another concept called Vision Concept last year, but it was not in production. The production version of the car will be released in 2021.

Alternatives and Partnerships
Automotive companies are ready to produce everything except classic cars. Their incredible partnerships were shared in the previous blog post. BMW and Mercedes combine their services under the brand name YourNow and have even started to be pioneer in this field.
But have you ever thought that Volkswagen will be exhibiting electric scooters in Geneva?
Volkswagen Streetmate and CityskaterVolkswagen exhibited two electric scooter concepts named Streetmate and Cityskater in the Geneva Motor Show 2019. Streetmate from these two scooter models offers a good option up to 34 kilometers. This electric scooter has a maximum speed of 45 km/h and a power of 2.0 kW. Further information on VW Streetmate includes a 1.3 kW hour lithium-ion battery and the feature of a full charge of 15 minutes with a 500 W charge.
This sub-model named Cityskater is designed for shorter distances. The power is 0.4 kW, so 0.5 hp. Cityskater has a maximum speed of 19 km/h and its range is 14.5 km. You can also lift the scooter with a weight of 15 kg and put it in the trunk of your car. Volkswagen also states that Cityskater is ready for mass production.
My Favourites
Fiat Panda “Concept Centoventi”
This little one has a retro design for celebrating Fiat’s 120th anniversary. As a member of the Fiat Group for many years, I needed to include this model here. ?
Alfa Romeo Tonale
That’s absolutely different! I am an Alfa Romeo lover so as a „Alfisti“ (and a former employee) i love this monster!
Tonale is expected to be available in 2022 as a small crossover that will be placed under Stelvio.
BONUS: FERRARI F8 TRIBUTO!
No writing about a trade fair or car world cannot end without a Ferrari! (It’s not important with or without Electric!)
Ferrari introduced the new stallion F8 Tributo. The Ferrari F8 Tributo, equipped with a 720-horsepower V8 engine, which has been awarded the engine of the year for the last three years, will replace the 488 GTB. The production of the vehicle will begin in 2020.
What an incredible excitement!
