A Trip to Milan, Italy from Switzerland

“As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, a life well spent brings happy death”- Leonardo da Vinci.

My last moment to escape to the fashion capital of the world was 4 hrs, 5 CHF and a border away from Switzerland. I was about to step into the glitz and glamorous world of fashion i.e. Milan.

My journey started from Swiss station to Milan on S11 via Chiasso. In Milan, I prefer to take public transport because when you are tired and you just want to sit, make a round trip, just board any Green bus-Eco bus( local transport- travel with local people ) that will take you to places in the city, grab a drink, sit back and enjoy your round trip.

I began with city centre, which has the 5th biggest cathedral in the world, looking at the architecture

was mesmerizing and next, towards my left was the oldest mall where you will find the biggest Italian brands that once formed the foundation of this fashion city. I finished my day by exploring the designs and various iconic collections from different brands.

At a 350-meter departure from the Cathedral is Galerie d, Italia., Piazza Della Scala 6. A token costing 5 euro opened doors for the 25 years old gallery prepped up with the original Italian paintings, in collaboration with NewYork Arts Academy. I travelled several centuries in bits and pieces juggling from one to another era through the canvas laid at both sides of the alley in 2 hours.

If you are interested, there is a place where you can find real models on the base of the manuscript by Leonardo da Vinci. I found that he was not the Leonardo

painter because I only knew about his painting of Monalisa and his last scripture which I saw in Paris. It enhanced my knowledge as he studied Anatomy along with the functioning of eyes, an Engineer, and an Architect as well.

The tip is if you are interested to know everything about the painting of Monalisa then this is the best place as they have digital media where you touch on digital art, and it will show you Leonardo da Vinci’s point of view.

The next day started with a thrilling Italian breakfast at Pave Bakery. Then I navigated to the “Hangar Bicocca-Art Museum”.It will impress as soon as you enter a dark room and experience art with virtual effects.

In the evening, I made my way towards the roads of the skyscrapers of big brands. After walking a few steps, you will discover that you are at PORTA NUOVA(business street).

After finding many expensive stores in the City Centre, I was still looking for the original place to shop. In Metro, I asked an old man where the locals buy their clothes and he advised me to visit a street “Corso Buenos Aires’ ‘ that was on the red line metro “M-PT Venezia’ ‘. It’s a 2 km long street, just walk and enjoy your shopping.

Well, that was a wrap on my trip and I enjoyed my trip to Milan.
