1. Shrink the Task

Inspired by The Mountain Is You, I learned that procrastination is often fear, not laziness.
The trick?
→ Start messy. Forget perfection — just open your laptop and write the first sentence.

Small action beats no action.

2. The 5-Minute Rule

Commit to just 5 minutes of work. That’s it.
Most of the time, starting is the hardest part — and once you begin, you keep going.

3. The 10-Minute Focus Timer

If you struggle to concentrate, start with just 10 minutes of deep work.
Phone away. Focus on one task only.
This is a mini version of the Pomodoro Technique — perfect for overwhelming days.

4. Change Your Environment

Your environment affects your habits.
Study in a new place: a café, library, or even a different room.
→ A new setting can trigger a new, more focused mindset.

Even small rituals like lighting a candle can make a difference.

5. The 1% Method: Tiny Improvements Daily

The biggest mindset shift I made came from Atomic Habits by James Clear:

“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”

You don’t have to be perfect.
Just get 1% better every day — and the results will compound over time.

Final Thoughts

None of these tricks are magic. But they are powerful because they lower the mental resistance that holds you back.

  • Start messy.
  • Start small.
  • Stay consistent.

Watch the video, pick one trick, and start today.
You might be surprised how much easier it feels once you do.
