Hi, I’m Carla!
I’m a 23-year-old master’s student and part-time worker, trying to balance school, work, fitness and a social life. For me it was always a struggle to find time for healthy eating. Sound familiar?
After long days of studying and working, I’d come home exhausted, and the last thing I wanted to do was spend hours in the kitchen preparing a healthy meal. Or maybe you’ve been there too – living on caffeine and snacks during exam season just to get through. Believe me, I get it.
But here’s the good news: small changes, like making overnight oats, made a huge difference to my energy, focus and overall wellbeing. And that’s why I started this blog – to help people like you find simple, realistic ways to eat well, even with a busy schedule.
Why nutrition isn’t just about looking good
I used to think eating healthy was all about supporting a “diet.” But I quickly realized it’s much more than that. Nutrition impacts how we feel, think, and perform every single day. Here’s why eating well is crucial for a busy life:
✅ More energy – the right foods fuel your body and help you stay productive.
✅ Less stress – A balanced diet supports mental health and reduces stress levels.
✅ Better sleep – a stable blood sugar level prevents nighttime crashes.
✅ Improved digestion – say goodbye to bloating and stomach discomfort.
✅ Less binge eating – Proper nutrition helps curb cravings and emotional eating.
“One cannot think well, love well, or sleep well, if one has not dined well.” – Virginia Woolf
My starter’s guide to a busy yet balanced lifestyle
Staying healthy while juggling work and school is possible with these simple tips:
- Meal prep one day a week – saves time, money and stress.
- Healthy snacks on the hand – Nuts, yogurt or fruit instead of sugary treats.
- Hydration is key – sometimes fatigue is just dehydration!
