Kosovo is one of the youngest countries located in the South-Eastern Europe. In Kosovo, there are not many multinational companies and even those that are already there have not been really successful like in most other European countries.
For multinational corporations (MNCs) who would like to expand or invest in Kosovan market they should first consider the challenges and barriers that they will face while expanding there.
There are many factors that discouraged foreign direct investment of MNCs in Kosovan market. Some of those factors are including cultural, political (such as corruption, a country in transition, not part of European Union etc), and technological factors.
For those MNCs interested to expand into Kosovan market it is vital to firstly consider the above-mentioned factors. These and so many other related factors that have caused many multinationals to hesitate from expanding to Kosovo will be further elaborated in detail in my next future posts.
