Hello again to my makeup junkies. So today it will be another topic compared to the previous topics that I have shared with you. I am really excited to tell you that in this blog I will show you the right order to apply makeup, which I do everyday and I always end up being happy with. So, I would like to show you in some steps what I apply first and what last and for what reasons I do that.
- First of all I start with hydrating my skin. I usually use a cream and I almost never use a primer. So the reason why I want to do this thing first is because I want my skin to be hydrated enough before I put the foundation. I would like to remind you to never forget to put the cream on your eyelids and your brows. I have a dry skin and would like to have my eyelids and eyebrows to be also moisturized, otherwise the shadows and the gel I put on my eyelids and brows will not look good because I have also been in those situations where this happened and my makeup looked awful.
- Second, I start doing the eyes first. I usually put foundation before I start putting the eyeshadows. Lately, I have started to put primer but I prefer do to both if you have both. If you don’t then it is okay to use one of them.
- Then I put the preferred eyeshadows. HINT: I usually start by putting the light colors (eyeshadows), and I usually go up under the eyebrow. Then, I put the other colors.
- Further, I put the eyeliner. I would suggest to everyone to put the eyeliner first before putting the mascara. The reason is because it is easier for you to see while doing it. Otherwise, it is impossible to have a perfect eyeliner.
- After eyeliner I would prefer to put mascara. HINT: usually while putting the mascara sometimes we may make mistakes but you don’t have to worry about that. Just wait until the mascara dries and after that take a cotton swab and just easily remove where you have the mascara.
- After you finish with the mascara, if you prefer to put fake lashes then, that is totally fine. You can either do it before putting mascara or after. But never forget that after you put the fake lashes you need to stick your fake lashes with your original ones in order to look good and you do this with mascara.
- After this I usually do my eyebrows. However, I have seen that in most of the cases it is better after the foundation to do the brows because the really tiny space just near the brows will not be covered with foundation and that might look a little bit unprofessional. While not having your brows done, it is easier and you won’t have pressure while putting the foundation.
- Then I put the foundation. HINT: Before putting foundation, I take a wet wipe and clean any makeup that has fallen under my eyes because it usually happens.
- Further, after foundation I put the concealer under my eyes.
- Then, I put a really small amount of finishing powder. If you want to do baking then you can do that. But I don’t prefer the baking that is why I always put finishing powder.
- I then put the blush on my cheeks and would like also to do it in my forehead just near the hair line.
- Then I put the highlighter. It is up to you where do you wanna put the highlighter but I usually put it on my cheek bones. Then I also put a little bit on my nose and little bit in my upper lip.
- Then, the last but not the least important are the lips. I prefer to put the lip liner first and then the lipstick.
- Finally, recently I am putting a prep+fix spray from mac cosmetics. I have seen that this helps a lot to keep the makeup longer so I would recommend also to you to use this.
