A Game of Dice Week 3 – STUG1
After an eventful field trip to the Swiss Game Hub, we incorporated our new takeaways into the game in preparation for Wednesday’s initial pitch.
It was rewarding to hear so much positive feedback, both from Julia and from the Save Point gathering. Seeing our hard work pay off gives us great momentum to keep refining the project.
At the same time, we received valuable constructive feedback—particularly around improving tooltips, balancing, and adding more audiovisual „bells and whistles.“ Improving tooltips is high on my priority list; as a strategy title, the game can become overwhelming fast if players aren’t properly guided through our core systems. As Sebastian pointed out, we need to be true experts in our own game, thoroughly understanding every nook and cranny we build. We’re doubling down on improving the core system, adding new dice which in turn adds new combos and proper balancing to keep the game challenging and rewarding.
With that in mind, it’s full steam ahead! The rest of the feedback aligns well with our roadmap for the remaining weeks of the module, so now it’s just about keeping our heads in the game.
