A Game Of Dice – Week 2 (STUG1)

With one of the first important deadlines and presentations coming up, it was time to lock TF in.
We continued with refining the main game concept by further categorizing the dice for our combat system. With this we also had a much clearer vision on our roles in the team, despite some setbacks in terms of planning our scheduled meet-ups to discuss our current status.
Nonetheless, a lot of work has been done into further development of the game in all aspects, and with a lot more to come once the week is over.
Tasks completed:
– UI improvements (Tooltips, damage display on shooting)
– Further refinery of combat system (Catalyst vs Unique Dice, table thumping is limited to once per round etc.)
– Scalable code; Dice faces are now scriptable objects which can be created in Unity itself, special behavior dice would just need to inherit from parent script
– Balancing sheet undergoing – all damage will be calculated and referenced via Excel sheet
– 2nd enemy art done, world-building and design profile undergoing
– More concept art for dice done, 3D concept design as well, though we will continue on with 2D dice art for now
