Have You Ever Looked In the Sun

HUELIS is a first person (not yet puzzle) walking sim. It started two weeks ago in the studio game 2 module at the hslu and for now I am treating it as an experiment to play and have fun with 3D-Navigation and later wanna implement analogue art assets as digitalized scans.

The first weeks consisted overall of finding a core concept for the game prototype and to boil down the navigation, since there are endless possibilities for the movement. After some negotiations with my own goals and ideas for the game (if I would continue with it), I concluded that I will focus the controls on change between locked axis, gravity stuff and portals to create proto-non-euclidean geometry.

In the second week where I stand now, I implemented trigger colliders that unlock two new axis for a standard WASD-FPS-Controller. The same also in reverse, so triggers, that take away that option, so sculpting of levels is as easy as a boolean operation with box colliders.

For now there isnt much more but I will start with various gravity manipulations on my rigidbody this week and am excited for different experiments…
