von For this class I decided that I want to make some trailers for a game that I am making with a friend. The game is Hearts across Dimensions and if anybody’s interested you can play it here: https://jfladas.itch.io/hearts-across-dimensions
I looked at various otome game trailers and reviews online and took some notes. I think the trailers of the Japanese otome games resemble anime openings. I mean there are anime based on otome games so that makes sense I guess.
Then I realised that I would have to make the music on my own if I wanted all the character trailers to match with a common theme melody. I also have to make a lot of illustrations and learn how to use new programs like Da Vinci and after effects that I have never used before. I only have some experience using iMovie and InShot for some silly crackvideos but now I will have to make something on a professional level.
I will experiment ant try a few different things, like some trailers will be for YouTube etc and some will be specifically for TikTok and Instagram. Next week I will figure out a workflow and get started with things.
