SS17 movie and final result

During the 2017 Summer School twelve students from the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architeture, from the institutes Architecture, Interior Architecture, Civil Engineering traveled to Auroville, India. Together with five Indian students and university staff a seedbank was planned and built for the “Sristi Village Foundation”.The building material was given by local availability. A 20m2 rectangular building out of bamboo, palm wood and loam stands on a base of six granite columns. The spaces are conceived for the processing, preparation and preservation of the seeds which are deployed and gained from the land.

 

The project is finished by inhabitants and volunteers from the Sristi Village.
