As part of our Conference “Interactive Documentary: Laboratory and Experiment” we were able to invite screenwriter and director Alena Činčerová who will present a Screening of KINOAUTOMAT.
At the EXPO ’67 in Montréal Canada, Radúz Činčera presented what is today understood as the first interactive film. The movie was written and directed by members of the Czechoslovak new wave in film in the 1960s. Its plot and story are determined by the audience, who can use voting devices to decide how the film progresses.
In 2006 the project was restored by screenwriter and director Alena Činčerová – daughter of Radúz Činčera. On February 2nd 2024 Alena Činčerová will present KINOAUTOMAT in Switzerland for the first time.
The event will take place at the Cinema REX at Hochschule Luzern | Design Film Kunst from 17:30 to 19:00.
Participation in the Screening of Kinoautomat is free of charge and no registration is required. An introduction will be given by Anita Hugi (HEAD Genève).
This event is part of the Conference “Interactive Documentary: Laboratory and Experiment”. Find the program and registration info here (You do not have to participate in the conference to be able to attend the screening).
