fall semester 2020

all sorts of

I caught myself collecting all sorts of things during my two exchange semesters here in Switzerland. Not only paper, pencils or art supplies but mostly I collected memories and possibilities. It really seemed like as soon as I found something I was very excited about, a possibility appeared, that allowed me to continue to work on the said project. That also meant that I had to learn how to keep everything together within my little basket. And even though it is hard to balance all these things in such a small space, the Swiss coziness taught me how to stay calm and focus on one thing after the other. Sometimes little tasks still fall to the bottom of the basket, where I‘m not able to see it anymore but after a bit of shaking and mixing they usually come to the surface again, leaving me with a shocked face. Then I try to convince myself that it is okay to not juggle everything at once, and sometimes it even works.

I had the possibility to be a part of the L21 Lion Monument exhibition with a fairy tale I wrote and illustrated about the lion in Lucerne

Then I also got the possibility to work within the Visual Narrative Research Group and focus on visual triggers in augmented reality applications.

A little extra possibility I got was to take part in a postcard illustration competition, that I won together with four more people. It is an honor that my illustration is now available across Switzerland
