Process of the workshop

After 10 intens days of designing and mainly constucting  the Summer School 2017 in India is concluded.

A workshop in the Bamboo Centre in Auroville got the team familiar with bamboo and ist processing; durabilitiy treatment, bending/straightning, tools and the most common connections.

The programm of the building and the goals were presented by the client, together with available material from the client(6 granite columns, roof tiles) and the use of bamboo for the main structure, these formed the parameters for the design.

The students developed a draft in 2 very long days and through discussions with the experts created all neccessairy joints and details as well.
