“Light up your light inside you”

Living in a completely different place can be difficult sometimes. However, I think that anyone who decided to become an exchange student would have kept this in mind that we always learn things from hard process. What I expected from my exchange life was to grow strong inside and be a person who could go anywhere without hesitating. At first, whenever I meet challenges, I got easily discouraged of the fact that I couldn’t do anything but just wait. Before, I was a type of person who is used to quick things and prefers to get things done immediately. Thanks to this exchange, I learned that being quick isn’t the most important thing and not all problems are meant to be solved with my patience. And this candle is my waiting mate, which calms me down and has me think about what is really important. By lighting up the candle, I can also light up my positive mindset inside. And this is the most important thing I learned to grow stronger.

“Oh, I have to hold my breath I will find love and find a way to survive here.”

Sometimes I feel like a little mouse living in a big city. I find myself trying and struggling to live and forget about breathing. As soon as I realize this, I light up the candle and look at the flickering light. Then I start to think that we’re going to find a way to survive, and I’ve already met so many loving people in DMI and Switzerland. Even though we all are living each other’s life in their own way, we form and find love.

Switzerland has spontaneous nature, and this is the track I often listened to whenever I see beautiful mountains and rivers. It makes me let go of all the worries and think how beautiful and thankful I am for the nature and the place I’m living in.
