This series of short modules is for researchers, data stewards and anyone interested in stepping in or refresh skills for managing, sharing and preserving research data. The five one-hour online sessions provide concise introductions to key aspects of good data management practices and offer practical guidance for implementing FAIR principles throughout the research data lifecycle.

Repositories in the Context of Open Research Data: 26 November 2026, 11:00–12:00
Introduction to searching and selecting repositories, quality criteria, finding research data and data citation.
Ethics and Law in Research Projects: 3 December 2026, 11:00–12:00
Overview of research integrity, data protection, personal and sensitive data, anonymisation, consent and licences.
The modules can be attended independently, require no registration and are free of charge. The series was developed collaboratively by experts from Swiss higher education and research institutions.
