Save the Date – Open Science Ambassadors Kick-off on 10 September from 16:30 onwards!
Let your research bloom – through openness and collaboration.
Open Science stands for an open, transparent, and collaborative research culture. It promotes the quality, visibility, and impact of scientific work.
Why Open Science matters to everyone – and how we can create impact together.
Open Science is not merely a personal stance taken by individual researchers — it is a strategic lever for the entire university. To make this work, we need framework conditions that provide efficient infrastructures, clear processes, and targeted recognition of open practices.
The Open Science Ambassadors serve as an essential link between strategic direction and research practice: they bring forward needs from the disciplines, foster exchange among colleagues, and help ensure that Open Science at HSLU remains active and effective.
Actively shape Open Science at HSLU
Under the leadership of the university libraries, a new Open Science Ambassador Program is being launched for research-active staff members who:
- are committed to or wish to deepen their understanding of the principles of Open Science,
- want to share their experiences with colleagues,

- Data Stewardship as a service at HSLU
- The Open Science Ambassador Program as a new component within Data Stewardship
- Guest talk by an Open Science specialist
- Discussion of current challenges in research practice at HSLU
- Presentation and recognition of the first Open Science Ambassadors
- Apéro for informal networking and exchange
