What is TanzMix?
TanzMix allows participants to experience a mix of cultures through dance. It is an inter- and transcultural dance event aimed at people with and without refugee experience. The focus is on the joy of movement, music, interaction with other people, and the desire to learn new dances and meet new people.
At TanzMix, you will learn new dances from around the world. Circle dances from Syria or Switzerland, Authentic Jazz from the USA, waltzes, Afghan Qathagani, the latest Bollywood moves… Essentially, anything that is fun is included. Various dance instructors and dance enthusiasts will teach you their favorite dances. All participants are also warmly invited to share their own dances. Ultimately, the goal is to be inspired by what you have learned and to incorporate new movements into your own free-form dancing, whether alone, as a pair, or in a group.
Who is TanzMix for?
TanzMix is open to everyone; whether young or old, for people who already dance a lot, and for people with no dance experience – you can also just watch. Participation is open; there is no need to register, you can join at any time and do not have to participate every time. However, if you attend regularly, you will benefit more from the program.
Participation is free of charge.
