https://youtu.be/jM5Ez_cvEF8

Yu-Gi-Oh has been around since 1999. Now most of us remember Yu-Gi-Oh from our childhood, Blue eyes white dragon and Dark magician were one of our firsts decks. Over the years Yu-Gi-Oh has evolved so much that most players can’t even decipher these cards.

Colon / Semicolon (Beginners)

This is the absolute basics, understanding what the difference between the symbol Colon and Semicolon is even, here ill be explaining how this affects your card effect, and what you can chain too, to impact the card on resolution.

Blog: https://blog.hslu.ch/majorobm/2022/04/05/l_m_g_read-yu-gi-oh-cards-lesson-1-colon-x-semicolon/

Here you can find your lesson and entrance exam.

Effect Summons / Built-In Summons (Beginner-Intermediate)

There are two different summon rules, to the one you can chain card effects and the other you can’t chain. Here I’ll be explaining in depth what this exactly means. Well by taking examples of old school cards so it’s easier to break down. Towards the end of the video, we look at cards that have specific timing into when you can chain.

Conjunction Function (Intermediate-Expert)

There are four keywords hidden in cards texts that can weaken the effect of the card if chained too properly. Breaking down these four words into separate sections and understanding what they even mean and how this affects the gameplay. Now, this is one of the hardest parts of Yu-Gi-Oh, it’s also not something that is explained in the official rule book, understanding these codes is vital in knowing what to do as your next move.

Spell Speed / Chaining (Beginner-Intermediate)

Lastly, we will be looking at What is spell speed and what can I chain and HOW do I even chain properly. For those who haven’t been playing in the new Meta, this can be very confusing, chaining isn’t explained properly and this is one of the main functions of the game. So we will learn what can I chain and HOW I chain correctly.

Hopefully by the end of this cards like these will look a lot less intimidating.

Tips and Short Vids:

This will be a series of short videos that go a little more into the depths of certain topics.

Damage step:

Now, this is something one would think that you’d understand but did you know there are 5 steps in the damage step alone? This can be very intimidating for new players, so ill be going over this very briefly and just explaining the different scenarios.

Chain Blocking:

As motioned above Chaining is a vital part of the game, and will be talking about chain blocking, how this is done properly and how this can save your card effects from going through properly.

Exposing Metta cards:

After understating all the separate parts of the card effects we can move on to exposing cards that seemed so impossible to get past look like small little bumps.

Preparing for a tournament:

Everything you’d ever need to know before going to your first tournament. How to prepare yourself, what equipment to take with you, and overall what to expect there.
