Because the topic of creative Instagram Stories collected a lot of positive responses, I have decided to make one extra post about it (if you missed it, click here). But this time I will show you my tricks on how you can edit videos, make them more creative and dynamic, just using your phone.
There are a couple of applications you can try, some of them already have ready-to-use templates (Canva, Unfold, Mojo) or some in which you can be more creative and make your own (InShot, IMovie, Splice). I personally use InShot for editing videos for IG, it has all the needed basic tools for video editing plus many cool effects (free or for subscription).
Choose and apply music first
It is much easier to go with music when you cut/edit your video. Applications like InShot already have free licensed music you can use, or you can buy it on iTunes. But there is a third way how to get the song that you want on your phone while editing (free, see my short video tutorial):
- Download application called Telegram
- Find there a bot called “Meph Bot”
- Find your song – download, open with the application you want it in (InShot)
- Now this song is in your imported files, use it for any videos you want
**If you want to feature the video later in your stories, you might want to mute the music and then later choose it again from IG (Not always, but it can happen that IG will block your video if you use external not licensed music).
