Who Dares Ask Shall Receive Help

Hello OBM! The memories of Quarten are fading and the exam phase has arrived. We have received the brief for the presentation and the kind hint that we will be questioned regarding a potential future of our ideas. If the thought of continuing the project makes you feel dizzy, this is for you. Even if not, I suggest you consider taking this last helping hand stretched out in front of you.

In the early stages of this project, I decided to make it my mission to help others. I can gladly say that I was able to get involved with a number of projects, even though it was often in a different way than I had envisioned. The last milestone was the group supervision that took place in early May. Thanks again to all participants – I think the peer help worked well and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. It’s quite simple, if you externalise your ideas and worries, you can develop. As long as they are only a thing in your head, ideas don’t exist and worries don’t go away. It doesn’t take a genius to provide decisive help, an open ear can suffice and maybe a different perspective.

It’s in the same spirit that I offer my help to you one last time for this project. If you are in despair as to what you are going to be presenting or you aren’t sure whether you want to continue with your topic beyond this module – just drop me a message and I’m glad to try and help you. While I can’t fix whatever posts you may not have written, I can certainly try to give you perspective on the exam and beyond. If you are really happy with what you did so far and would like to take it even further, I am equally happy to support you in whatever way I can! In old fashioned style let me give you some reasons for taking me up on this offer:

  • It has the potential to increase your grade
  • It may faciliate future decisions
  • It’s free
  • In the worst case it strengthens your own opinion of your work
  • In the best case it leads to a clear picture of your project
  • A clear picture will lead to a solid presentation
  • You get to practice your pitch
  • You get an outside perspective
  • You can mention the extra effort in your presentation
  • Finally, I will not mention my contribution to your project (no disclosure)

All that’s left to say is good luck for the exams!
