Storytime: Tom Conquers the Ladder

Do you know that feeling when your body cramps up and you just really do not want to go on, even though it is the only way out? Of course you do – fear.

You would be scared of a zombie coming your way, trying to grab you the way zombies do, wouldn’t you? You would probably be afraid to have a staredown with a lion in the wild or look up to a large snake, chilling on a tree. Maybe you’re afraid of spiders? Even the tiny ones?

Fear isn’t rational. We share some common fears, like when a shark swims in a very limited water container with us. Others are unique to us, such as the fear of old brown bears landing in pink balloons from another planet. One thing is certain. There is but one common denominator of the fear all of us are experiencing. Whatever you are afraid of – the fear is real.

I am convinced that we can all learn from each other. And how better than learning how others overcame their fears? Listen to Tom explaining how he overcame a very specific fear of his.
