Group Supervision – get Your Seat now!

It has been a while since the seminar in Quarten. Did you notice how the enthusiasm alone did not write those blog posts? I vouched in the very beginning to offer my help and some of you have taken me up on that offer. Now that it is time to think about how this project will fit in with the upcoming semesters, I renew the promise I made. If you want to progress with your topic beyond Web Literacy, if you want to switch the focus for the future semesters, if you are motivated to pursue any project – this is for you! We will be doing a group supervision next Monday, 13.5. starting from 6:30 pm at HSLU.

What does that mean?

A group supervision is a tool that allows a group to help an individual with their combined brain power and imagination. You do not need any knowledge of the tool prior to the event, just come with a benevolent mindset and bring your topic. For your information, I am in training to be a trainer for an NGO and have received formal training to use this tool.

Why is this relevant to me?

Apart from the fact that you can incorporate this into your final presentation as making an additional effort to set your project up for the long run, you mean?

This is an amazing tool, which can bring you closer to your peers and often provides you with the certainty you need to become active to take that next step or solve that problem you’ve been procrastinating. You will receive detailed instructions on Monday. Note that you do not need to bring your topic up, you can still participate. You can expect something similar to what we did on the last day in Quarten, just with a narrower structure.

What topics can I bring in?

The group supervision is a powerful problem-solving tool. You will get a flood of inputs on a specific issue. Technically, you can bring any problem that you see in your life. You should beware, however, that you have to tell the other participants about the issue and accept plenty of inputs. Therefore, I suggest you keep it related to the web literacy project and the subsequent modules of the OBM major. What are you still struggling with? Feel free to run the topic by me and we can see whether it is suitable for the supervision.

Where can I sign up?

Interested? Drop me a mail or contact me via Whatsapp – everybody is welcome! I am also happy to answer questions related to the supervision in the comment section or privately. Please note that you should actually sign up if you plan to attend, otherwise I cannot guarantee that we will be able to do all topics.

See you Monday!
