The MSc International Financial Management (IFM) got accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), one of the largest accounting associations in the world. This accreditation is unique in Switzerland and therefore a true benefit for all IFM students. With this partnership, the IFM can confirm its outstanding position regarding Financial Management education in a truly international environment.

What is ACCA?

ACCA is a leading global professional accounting body. The mission of ACCA is to give greater career opportunity through qualifications that are recognised and recommended around the world. Based on international accounting standards and independently benchmarked for quality, employers know that an ACCA qualification is a mark of professional excellence.

What is the ACCA Qualification?

The ACCA qualification has a strong focus on professional values, ethics and governance. In order to receive this qualification, usually 14 exams have to be passed. The ACCA qualification is recognised and treated in other countries as being equivalent to their local qualification.

What are the Benefits for IFM Students?

Because of an optimal preparation during their study, IFM students can benefit from specific exemptions and therefore receive the qualification faster. ACCA allows the exemption of four exams (F1-F3 and F7) for all graduates after 1. January 2017. Additionally, due to their large network, ACCA can help their students to find a job in the international accounting environment.
